Yet another study has recently been released suggesting that oral health is directly connected to our overall health.

This study published in Cancer Prevention Research claims that having a regular brushing and flossing regiment can help prevent HPV, the human papillomavirus. HPV is often a precursor to other more serious ailments, including throat cancer. Researchers believe that this virus enters the body through sores in the mouth, gum inflammation, and ulcers; all of which can be significantly reduced through maintaining oral health. Remember to brush and floss daily, as well as visit Pure Dental for regular check-ups to reassure that your oral health is not putting your overall health at risk.
